Who has the time to even go to the dry cleaners when they don't even want to leave the house or can't leave the house. As a mom, Sarah needed to create something that she could wash.
She is a breastfeeding mom who knows the affects of it, yup we mean leaky boobs. She needed something that matched her luxurious taste but that you can wash. Traditional silk is not washable, and any on it stain and its ruined forever.
Sarah researched and tested many fabrics and options for years to create her own innovative fabric blend. This blend allows for the fabric to become 100% washable.
Throw your pyjama sets in the washer machine either alone or together or with other silk like items, on delicate, and wash with cold water.
Hang dry your Maison Nou or flay them flat to dry.
WE DO HOWEVER, RECCOMMEND DRY CLEANING AS THE BEST MEASURE TO ENSURE LONGEVITY AS WE DONT KOW THE CONDITION OF YOURE WASHER MACHINE.
Got wrinkles? We recommend steaming as the best option. Need a steamer recommendation? Reach out to us and we will give you list of affordable steamers and instructions on how to best steam your garments if its you're first time. We know it can seem intimidating.
If you want to use an iron, we recommend ironing inside out on your irons 'silk' setting.
If you have a feather piece that has gotten dirty, please remove your feathers before washing your garments with instructions above.
Did your feathers get vodka-cran all over them during your night out? Not a problem, we recommend removing your feathers first. Fill your clean sink or bath with warm water and add baby shampoo and dip and swirl your feathers. Take them out and let the excess water drip. Refill with clean warm water and re-dip the feathers into the water and swirl to wash the baby shampoo out. Remove the feathers and let excess water drip and lay flat to dry.
PLEASE REMEMBER THAT DYED FEATHERS ARE NOT COLORFAST, THEY WILL RUN. BUT ALL OUR DYES ARE NON TOXIC AND GOOD FOR YOU, YOUR SKIN, AND THE ENVIRONMENT.
To dry your feathers, lay them flat to dry on a towel, remember some dye will transfer so have a 'feathers towel' to always use. Once dry, use your steamer on lowest setting to bring some humidity to the feathers, and to help fluff them up. Once your done running the steamer over them, use a blow dryer on low heat setting to give them some volume. Fluff with your hand and give them a shake after putting them back on your item and continue as you see fit.
